The newly elected President has always been a topic of many controversies throughout his career even before his run for the presidency. A large part of these is from the days when he was still rising to success. One thing that’s intriguing about President Trump is that he is someone who is more than meet the eye. 1. Trump Vodka

It has been common knowledge that President Trump avoids drinking alcohol, and it’s also no secret that he makes his money in creating his products. In 2006 he released Trump Vodka, but it soon failed in 2011.

2. Oversensitive about the size of his fingers

An editor at Vanity Fair once called President Trump a “short-fingered vulgarian.” He reportedly sent photos of his fingers circled in gold sharpie to the editor at the said magazine because it bothered him. He also periodically sent tracings of his hand to prove the editor wrong.

3. Never used an ATM

On an interview with Conan O’Brien on “Late Night with Conan O’Brien,” President Trump claimed that he never used an ATM before. It is most probably because he has people for menial stuff like that.

4. Trump Tower

The company hired 200 Polish workers who were in the country illegally contracted to build the Trump Tower. They worked 12-hour shift for 4$-5$ an hour. The company was able to get away with this because the workers were undocumented.

5. Sued Bill Maher for saying that his father is a monkey

Bill Maher once said that President Trump was a son of a monkey on his talk show. Maher then offered $5 million worth of prizes if Trump could prove that his father is a human being. Trump supplied his father’s birth certificate but Maher refused to give the money, and Trump then sued him for it.

6. He is a germaphobe

Jeb Bush has always pointed out that President Trump is a germaphobe who dislikes shaking hands. Trump admitted to this and stated that he is bothered with his need to shake hands with a lot of people due to his position as a public figure.

7. Offered Former President Obama free golf for life

It is no secret that the Former President Obama loves his games of golf and Trump thought that he could use this to rise to the presidency. Trump offered the free golf for life to Obama in his golf courses, and the catch is that Obama had to resign from the position.

8. In 2000, he ran for presidency under the Reform Party

In 2000, Trump tried to run for the position under the Reform Party. Along the run, he gained the support of Jesse Ventura who wanted to be his Vice President. Trump dropped out of the race, but the results made him want to try and run for the presidency again.

Released by Milton Bradley in in 1989 after Trump started rising into success, the board game allowed the players to recreate Trump’s rise to success, and it was also possible to lose everything.

10. Made $375,000 for starring on his own show

Trump’s show, “The Apprentice,” was relatively popular for a short time and it gave Trump a right amount of exposure and put his brand in the spotlight. This also gave him opportunities to make new partnership and advertising ventures.

11. Trump has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

The popularity of his show, “The Apprentice,” earned Trump his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The star was granted to him because of the contributions in the entertainment industry. Trump himself that making the show was an excellent experience.

12. Trump shaved WWE Owner Vince McMahon’s head

Both Trump and McMahon selected wrestlers to represent them in the ring during the “Battle of the Billionaires.” They made a bet that the person whose representative lost would have his head shaved. Fortunately for Trump, his representative won the match.

13. He had billions of debts back in 1991

Back in 1991, Trump had to divide up his wealth and assets to pay for the billions he owed from several different banks. They took his yacht, an airline express, several retail businesses, and the control of the Grand Hyatt in Manhattan.

14. He would have been a billionaire with his inheritance alone

Trump inherited a vast amount of money from his father that he would have the same net worth if he had let his inheritance accumulate. This has become an indicator to many that he isn’t as good with money as he says he is.

15. Trump was given an Honorary Degree by the University of Scotland

The University of Oakland granted Trump an honorary degree for his success as an entrepreneur and a businessman. However, in 2015, the University revoked the degree because Trump no longer symbolizes the University’s ethos and values.

16. Sent to Military School for bad behavior

During his teens, Trump got involved in troubles, and this prompted his parents to send him to a Military school in hopes of straightening him out.

17. He started a fight between Ivana Zelnickova and Marla Maples on the slopes in Aspen.

Trump had an illicit affair with Marla Maples when he was married to Ivana Zelnickova. Ivana learned about this during a vacation with Trump in Aspen and decided to confront Marla. Trump said that it was great for business since Marla claimed that he’s the best sex she ever had.
